Thomas Murphy was baptised on 31 March 1862 in the local parish. His baptismal sponsors were Hugh Growney and Anne Murphy.

Thomas passed away in 1866 at the young age of 4.

Note: In 19th-century Irish families, it was common for a subsequent younger child to be given the name of an earlier sibling who had passed away in infancy, accounting for the later Thomas Murphy born into the family in 1872.
